They hurt, is that a symptom of sunburn, or is it something else like sunstroke?

What hurts?: Not quite sure what is hurting from your question. However, if you are saying your skin hurts and you think you have a sunburn then, yes, this is certainly a symptom of sunburn. Sunstroke is a much more severe, life-threatening condition. In this condition your body has basically lost it's ability to regulate temperature. Convulsions, coma and death can all be an end result of sunstroke.

What is a good way to heal a sunburn?

What is a good way to heal a sunburn?

Sunburn remedy: Aloe vera (aloe barbadensis) can reduce redness, pain, itching & swelling from a burn. It has anesthetic, anti-inflammatory & antibacterial / antifungal qualities. It can speed burn healing by stimulating growth of new skin. Apply cool compresses. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and acetomenophen can be very helpful. Hydrate well and don't peel off any deep layers.

What is the best way to treat sunburn on face?

Sunburn: Apply aloe or moisturizing cream to the affected skin. Avoid products containing alcohol, which can further dry out skin. Beware of sunburn treatment products containing anesthetics, such as benzocaine. There's little evidence that these products are effective. In some cases, they may even irritate the skin. A mild otc cortisone cream also helps.

What is the best way to treat a sunburn on your face?

What is the best way to treat a sunburn on your face?

Ibuprofen and aloe: Unfortunately, once sunburn happens, the subsequent recovery is the expected wound healing process. In addition to the Hydrocortisone cream as suggested by dr kwok, i find that oral Ibuprofen (advil (ibuprofen) or motrin) every 6 hours immediately after the burn will help reduce the inflammatory response. I also recommend aloe containing lotion to moisturize as often as possible.

Allergic reaction: You may well be having an allergic reaction to Doxycycline and should go back to your doctor and stop taking any more of the doxycycline. Lyme disease can be treated with Ampicillin or amoxicillin. Go see your doctor asap.
