Personal reaction ?: This could be a simple UTI that just happened along at the same time. However it could also be a personal sensitivity to the chemicals in that product. Your vaginal tissues will absorb easier than regular skin & you may be extra sensitive to it. If you got some in your pee hole & didn't rinse well it might do this to anyone. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Missed pill wk1 & had sex same time, took pill 12hrs late wk3, no sex. Used Summer's eve WASH & bled same day but period wasn't for couple days. Preg?
I started using summers eve wash and now have burning, itching, redness and dryness. I had sex 2.5yrs ago and it was protected. Is it the soap or std?
Hmmm....: It's not super bad, but usually is not needed. The outside is the vulva and can be be gently washed during baths and showers. The inside is the vagina. Vaginas are not meant to be washed. That means washing vaginas is not natural, and can mess up the inside, balanced conditions of a vagina. It's nice to have good hygiene, but know that vaginas are "self-cleaning". ...Read more
I've switched to ivory soap for my body but I use summer eve vaginal wash. Can I use soap and summer eve together to fully clean my vaginal area?
Do not douche!: Despite all the ads and what you might have heard from friends or family, vaginal douching ("vaginal wash") is unhealthy. It often destroys normal vaginal bacteria, increasing the risk of infections, sometimes serious. And douching is unnecessary for vaginal hygiene. Just wash your genital area (outside) with soap and water when you shower or bathe. Leave the inside alone! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is summer eve's vag wash safe? NOt the douche, just Use for external washing, gel like texture, like body wash.
But it's unnecessary: The external only product is probably safe. But it's also not necessary. A warm wash w/ the same item you use all over yourself is enough. If you really have an odor that is bad - it's a reason for an OBGYN exam - not a cover-up. If there's an infection - you need to cure it, not hide it. But yes, use is okay if you're healthy otherwise. ...Read more

Wife is complaning of smell coming from vagina. she says docter told her to use is Summer's Eve Cleansing Wash for Sensitive Skin Simply Sensitive is this safe for her. ?
2nd opinion needed: Your wife needs to see a GYN MD for a 2nd opinion as we almost never advocate the use of a commercial douching product for an abnormal odor from the vagina. An assessment for a vaginal infection will be done first and foremost as douching can actually cause more harm to the vaginal pH sometimes worsening the presumptive bacterial infection. ...Read more
