Sufficient Warming Muscle
It is a body tissue that has the ability to contract. It shortens and generates force. It relaxes and returns to its original length. Muscles move joints, stabilize the body, move air and food through the organs, act as valves for bladder, bowel and other organs. They control movement of the eyes. They help us express ourselves by changing the shape of our ...Read more
First warm then cold: There is no firm consensus about this, but i believe the best course is to start with a moderately warm (but not hot shower) to relax and help wash away your sweat, followed by a cold shower which improves circulation and reduces inflammation. See http://health.Howstuffworks.Com/wellness/men/hygiene/should-man-take-cold-shower-after-workout.Htm for a good discussion. ...Read more

Give it a try: Warm compresses to help relax muscle spasms are some times efffective along with a nice warm jacuzzi. Also massage and light muscle stretching exercises can be helpful for prevention and treatment. If warm water relaxes muscles, will cold water cause muscles to tense up? So if i wash my head with cold water will it increase scalp tension?
Warm water increases blood flow to areas which helps to rejuvenate and relax tired muscles. Cold water does the opposite, decreases blood flow to muscle but won't necessarily cause spasm or tension. Like engines, muscles perform better when kept cool. Recent studies at Stanford show athletes wearing cooling suits have more endurance. I'm sure someone has a better answer . . doctors?

Injected my delt 3 nights ago, the nect morning i noticed i have a hard tensed muscle below my delt, its warm to touch but it is not sore but is hard?
Would like to know: what was injected. BUT if WARM TO TOUCH, then that's a sign of inflammation and needs immediate attention because infection is quite likely. (I know, I know, I didn't stress this on the paid consult but you didn't say WARM... I did say that if it showed signs like warmth infection is possible and needs attention). I would add "immediate attention" ...Read more

Held a warm, wet piece of tp against anus to clean. Felt a contraction around finger. Is this the outside sphincter muscle? Should it be this loose?
Outside/hard to say: The anus has two sphincters before the outlet. An internal automated one that keeps the fecal mass up and seldom dilates unless you are trying to evacuate. The external sphincter is usually closed at rest and you can close it harder if the inner sphincted is opening and you are trying to hold back a stool. Trauma to the outside sphincter or nerve damage can leave it weak and open. ...Read more

Repeat evaluation: Sounds like you need personalized medical advice and I would recommend follow up with your primary doctor or HealthTap Prime or Concierge services. Muscle tension, spasms, knot in lower chest , feeling warm, can't relax, feel like im falling, palpitations. Can't get a diagnosis. Is this anxiety?
I run and bike for exercise. For the last couple years my groin has been getting very tight and I sometimes get a sharp pain when trying to lift my leg. It feels like a muscle pull. I can stretch and it feels better after warming up. I stretch freque?
Varies: There are multiple potential causes, I would not hesitate to be seen. In the field of orthopedics, one of the most common causes of groin pain is a problem with the hip itself. This can be from an early arthritic condition or something like a Labral tear. This would go along with the description of reproduction of pain when you lift your leg and also the stiffness you describe. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
