Sudden numbness in lower lip right side several times a day last seconds from over a 4 to 5 weeks can that be a brain tumor only my lip?
Many causes of: Lip numbness. May be nerve (5th cranial nerve, 3rd distribution) or may be higher up (at brainstem on right or in brain in left sensory strip). If nerve may be trigeminal neuralgia, but usually with pain. Other nerve issues may be from dental problems or neuropathy from meds, vascular disease, or diabetes, etc. If brainstem/brain, could be vascular, or benign/malignant tumor. Not so sudden: If it is one event, then it's not so sudden but now subacute. Or if you are talking about recurrent episodes over several days, then most likely transient cerebral ischemic attacks may be occurring or perhaps sensory seizures. If those symptoms are constant, even if intensity is variable, then a small stroke is likely. This needs neurologic attention soon--like today! ...Read more

Yes, but uncommon.: See my other answer to this question for differential. If this is a brain problem, it would be located very far laterally in the sensory strip of the left side of the brain. Limb numbness: It will help if you specify whether this is only in 1 limb, only upper or lower limbs, or all limbs. If the numbness/tingling is sudden and in all 4 limbs, then the most likely cause is either hyperventilation or simple anxiety, which may however be severe.
