Should not change: Once the skull has finished growing which is no later than 25 years old there should be no change in the skull shape. Behind the ears, the skull does feel like ridges. A further indentation at the crown area would indicate possibly some new bone growth. There are some disorders in which this occurs but they are not usually selective to just the skull. Paget's is one. See your MD and be checked. ...Read more

Afraid skull's coming apart or growing tumors around temporalis. Dr says I'm just anxious/noticing asymmetrical bumps/cracks/dents. Always tender. Cracks are small, but feel deep. Bump's above ear.
Seek Diagnostic Eval: It sounds like you are being tormented by intrusive thoughts that are really scaring you. Possible: If you think that you can identify an area of the skull that moves with pressure on it then a skull fracture is very possible, and a depressed skull fracture becomes a possibility and may need fixation.
