What are triggers?: Your comment about typical trigger foods makes me suspect you have some symptoms like this with certain food. That is important history. Cramping pains can be from many causes, but it does not sound like a severe issue such as appendicitis. Spastic colon/irritable bowel can do that, as can food allergies (gluten), and other causes. A good history and physical exam should help identify the cause. ...Read more
