Lacking a family: ... history of colorectal cancer, you are very unlikely to have CRC at age 27. More common causes of changes in bowel habits at your age are: irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease & ulcerative colitis, lactose intolerance & gluten intolerance. All are manageable disorders. I have Crohn's (in remission and on imuran), and for the past month I have felt nauseous after eating (sometimes) and feeling full sooner than normal when eating. No change in bowel habits. Worried...
Complex situation: Your question raises interesting issues, and there are a number of possible explanations. The nausea could be related to worsening of your crohn's, or a side effect of imuran, (azathioprine) or related to a new problem, such as gastritis (inflammation of the stomach, a trial of antacid medication - Omeprazole or ranitidine - might help), or other complications of crohn's. Not at this time: The incidence of colorectal cancer is very low under the age of 40, and stats for 19-39 years of age for women are 1/1400 and increase dramatically between age 40-50 to 1/140.
