Have herniated disc l5s1.Now getting very sudden bowel movements-diarhea. Could just be a bug but worried about cauda syndrome. Any advice?

Yes & No: You are still young to have serious intestinal problem like cancer. Most rectal bleeding for young people is from hemorrhoids. If you are constipated, take some laxatives or stool softeners. But you should still see your dr and be referred to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy to be checked for the above. A change for you?: If it is a change in your usual bowel habit, can not be definitely related to diet change, and especially if associated with other symptoms, e.g. Pain, nausea, lightheadedness, cramps, bleeding, fever, sweats, etc. Definitely call your doc.
