I have a blurry spot in my vision. It's a constant spot and doesn't change positions. What could it be?

Retina?: A small fixed blurry spot in the vision usually represents a macular problem in the retina. Sometimes, this is just a benign process but it's a good idea to get it checked out. There can be swelling like in serous chorioretinopathy or an early macular hole. See your ophthalmologist soon.

Shooting pain on one spot on my head that comes out of nowhere and at the same time my vision gets blurry. Wasn't injured so what can be causing this?

Shooting pain on one spot on my head that comes out of nowhere and at the same time my vision gets blurry. Wasn't injured so what can be causing this?

Hard to say: The usual question that people are concerned about is whether this might be a manifestation of a brain tumor or an aneurysm. This is not the usual presentation for these entities. However, it is a good idea to observe this and take notes that you can present to your doctor to help him/her figure this out. The nature of the pain, the blurred vision-what brings it on, how long does it last etc.?

I have a small blurry spot in my vision that stays in the same spot. Saw an ophthalmologist who said my eyes were healthy. Should I seek 2nd opinion?

Second Opinion Help: If you still see a spot in your vision and are were not given a answer that you feel explains why you have the spot, I would recommend a second opinion. Knowledge is power.

Hello Doctor, Since few days I have some head vertigo and spot headache during the day on the entire head and sometimes my vision gets blurry.

Needs to be checked: Headache, Vertigo and Blurred vision can be due to Neurological problem. We don't have enough information to suggest what it may be. I suggest you see your Doctor asap and if can not get appt. Go to ER. Need detailed history and comprehensive exam. And if indicated may need a Cat Scan to make a diagnosis and appropriate treatment

I did a 20 min intense workout today 11:45-12:30 and after about 1 hour I experienced a blurry vision spot and wasn't able to focus on reading for about 25 minutes. Blood preasure was 137/68 with 81 pulse. Any ideas on cause or steps I should take?

Have a thorough eval: Good evening. Because the possibilities are numerous, you should really contact your doctor for further eval. Several causes readily come to mind (like a transient ocular migraine), but there are many other possibilities such as a problem with the circulation to your retina. Please contact your doctor. Best of luck.

Go to ER: What you described is compatible with temporal arteritis and you should visit an emergency room at the earliest to protect your vision, just in case it is temporal arteritis.

Temporary blurry vision with blind spot in right eye?

Temporary blurry vision with blind spot in right eye?

See an eye MD: It might be nothing or something as simple as a migraine. But it also could represent a blocked blood vessel that supplies the eye (almost like a mini stroke). You need to see an ophthalmologist who will determine whether any additional testing is required.

Bruise?: This sounds like a subconjuctival hemorrhage, which is essentially a bruise on the whites of the eyes. This may cause some dryness and lead to fluctuating vision. The treatment is OTC artificial tears for symptomatic relief as the blood re-absorbs. You should see an eye MD to confirm diagnosis and treat accordingly.

Doc found a black spot behind my eye said it could be a freckle sending me for 2nd opinion. Seeing floaters n blurry vision eyepain is this normal?

Doc found a black spot behind my eye said it could be a freckle sending me for 2nd opinion. Seeing floaters n blurry vision eyepain is this normal?

No: The eye pain and floaters are probably not related to the 'freckle' and are not normal. A choridal nevus is a freckle in the choroid the layer under the retina covering the inside of the eye. Most are benign but need to be monitored. A retinal exam and a bscan ultrasound can give clues if it is a melanoma (malignant tumor). A second opinion is a good idea in this case.

What does it mean when your visions gets blurry see lines and spots?

Migraine: If symptoms last between 15-30 minutes and completely resolve this is most likely an ocular migraine. If there is a headache afterward, it is considered a visual aura as part of a classic migraine event. If this is the first time you've had such symptoms, see an internist or ophthalmologist.

I've been tapering off citalopram 20mg. 1week 15mg, and now on 10 mg for 2 days. Started having blurry spots in my vision - is this normal?

Visual changes may: Occur during citalopram withdrawal. If problematic slow the taper and consult prescriber. Generally longer use requires longer taper if withdrawal effects occur: vision changes, runny nose, trouble sleeping/breathing, agitation, chest pain, confusion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fast heartbeat, headache, excess sweating, muscle pain, restless, trembling, unusual tiredness/weakness.

Eyes eyes?: Your symptoms of fluctuating vision suggest that you do not have a healthy and stable tear film, a condition called meibomian gland dysfunction. It ultimately leads to dry eye symptoms. Your other symptoms may or may not be related. See you eye MD for a complete eye examination.

If a pregnant woman masturbates and gets really bad migraines and her vision gets blurry and she sees bright squiggly lines/bright spots what's wrong?

Pregnant.: Masturbation is not a problem. The blurry vision, a migraine, and squiggly lines sound very worrisome to me, especially since you are pregnant. I think you should be seen and have your blood pressure checked.
