I think I have an ulcer adn now have had about 3 bloody bowel movements. Do i need to be seen now or can wait til wed. I've been prescribed oxycodone, ondansetron, and now had for 2 days: sucralfate. I have a dr appt on wed for more testing, just worries

Bloody stool: Bloody bowel movements are never anything that can wait. Along with abdominal pain you need to be examined asap to find the source of bleeding. The longer one waits the worse things could get. You need to have a gastorenterologist see you now or be evaluated closer by your physician. ...Read more

Yes, safe: It is usually taken for 6-12 weeks but sometime longer depending on ulcer healing. It is a safe medication. The ingredient aluminium mostly stays in your stomach and hardly any, if at all, amount goes into your system. So dont worry about toxicity. ...Read more
