Suboxone doctors: It's due to several factors, the primary one being that most doctors just do not want to do it. Doctors like patients to get well quickly and folks with drug problems take a while, often times to recover. Doctors are afraid they'll be manipulated and don't like to deal with that. I must at times, be confrontational with patients. I don't like to do it. Some docs won't do it. Drs like to trust pts. ...Read more

Suboxone /: buprenorphine is a better drug for opiate dependence. It is safer and does not require daily visits to a clinic. It also has a blocking ability that keeps you from using other opiates which methadone does not have. Methadone also has a variable half-life which make one more prone to unintentional overdose. WHY??!!!??: Why are you wondering this? It is against the law to obtain this medication with out a prescription. What is your purpose other than to get high? Is it helpful if i used Suboxone to get off of methadone?

Probably not: It is much less complicated to transition from suboxone to Methadone than from Methadone to suboxone. To move from Methadone to suboxone the patient must be on 30 mg of Methadone or less. There is still a risk of suffering symptoms of withdrawal when transitioning from Methadone to suboxone. The use of suboxone to avoid withdrawal from Methadone is preferable to stopping Methadone abruptly. ...Read more

No: Don't waste your money on that. If you are obtaining suboxone illegally you are breaking federal law and it is a federal crime. Better to get into a legit suboxone program and taper off legitimately. Always trying to scam the system to your own detriment.
