Been eating olives stuffed with pickled garlic cloves, 3-4 at a time. Just read when pregnant should only have 1 clove of garlic/day. Harmful to baby?
No evidence of harm: I researched this on many different sites and could not find any evidence at all that garlic is harmful to developing babies. Many sites said it's fine to eat garlic in moderation but excess garlic should be avoided, but the only reason presented was that too much garlic close to delivery might thin your blood and reduce blood clotting, so cut back close to delivery. This is unlikely: You need to count your calories and stay under your daily calorie needs in order to lose weight, consume the number of calories equal to your daily calorie needs to maintain your weight and consume more than your daily calorie needs to gain weight.
