Achilles tendonitis: Yes biking is acceptable exercise. Eccentric contraction or elongation of the gastrocnemius muscle that your achilles' tendon attaches to can help and if done on a bike is typically safe. When can I resume activities like gym, running and sports after orchiopexy(dartos pouch technique without insoluble sutures)?
Usually 4-6 weeks: If your orchiopexy involved an inguinal (groin) incision, then minimal 4 and closer to 6 weeks would be standard waiting period before resuming normal physical and recreational activities to allow adequate healing. Wolff's Law: Yes...But controversial answer. Weight bearing exercise such as walking is good for your bones (osteoporosis) because of their response to stress and impact. This leads to strengthening of your bones known as wolff's law. While technically not bearing weight, stationary biking and elliptical use do cause resistance (muscles tug on bone) thus also strengthening your bones to some extent. ...Read more

Ask your OB: Depends what u were doing before u can start running if u ran before at 4-5 weeks if u are not sioe, no abdominal crunches or situps for 4 months as u can ruin your rectus muscles( they atre teh lst to heal up ) that is what i tell my pts after reading a book written by a female exercise guru who tore up her abdomen cause she exercised too soon but ask your ob. ...Read more

As you can tolerate: If you r not having much pain or bleeding, you can go about and pretty much do anything you want/can. Just be sensible, easy yourself back into the activities and take a rest when needed. Pregnancy and birth, as well as caring for the baby can take quite a toll on you and so eat well, sleep, and listen to your body.
