Maybe: Birth control pills that come in packs of 24 active pills and 4 placebos claim to have higher contraceptive efficacy. We think it may be because there is less time for the ovaries to "wake up" and begin the process of ovulating. It stands to reason that a shorter placebo week in a regular birth control pack would have the same benefit. There's no real downside to starting the new pack early. ...Read more

Condoms: When birth control pills are stopped mid-way, ovulation becomes unpredictable and breakthrough bleeding is likely to ensue. Are you referring to birth control or some other drug? if it's birth control and you had intercourse on the day you forgot to take your pill then yes, you are at risk and although I am glad you restarted another pack the very next day, I would still be very careful and mindful when the timing for your next period comes around...if it's late, take a pregnancy test to be sure. ...Read more

On ritalin (methylphenidate) 6 months just started getting mild daily nausea. Would switching to Adderall help?
Would look for a: Different cause nausea first. It would be unusual for the nausea to start this late in treatment. The G.I. Side effects usually start at the very beginning of treatment and last briefly and then go away. I wouldn't expectit to start six months in.
