I have kidney stones and noticed a tiny black speck in my urine several times. I drink lots of water should I be alarmed??
The black "specks" could be small blood clots or pieces of stone. It would help if you save one of these to have these tested.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. ...Read more
Can't hold urine, always same amount. Had tests its not UTI or kidney stones.. What could it be i'm 26 & worried .. Thankyou?
I had blood in my urine could it be that I'm taking calcium? I also had pain on my right upper back I was told it was kidney stone. Is this true?
Is that so?: If an imaging study was performed that showed you have a kidney stone, then that's probably why you have the blood in your urine. If there's no imaging study, you don't know if it's a kidney stone or not, and getting imaged would probably be worthwhile. Why are you taking calcium? I can't recommend it as a general 'women's health' measure especially if there's a question of nephrolithiasis. ...Read more
Monthsago had surgery to remove kidney stone and still get foam in my urine.Especially when i hold it.Is that normal?(big mocha+caffiene drinker)
Unrelated: What you are seeing is likely normal. Passing foamy urine now and then is normal, for the speed of urination and other factors can influence this. But you should see your doctor if you have persistently foamy urine that becomes more noticeable over time. This can be a sign of protein in your urine (proteinuria), which requires further evaluation. ...Read more

I have had a UTI for a week, my urine is different with white tissue floating particules. I have a history of kidney stones could that be something?
Hard to tell: A urinary tract infection can cause sediment to form in the urine from break down of infection fighting cell, dead bacteria and bladder lining that was damaged by the infection. I would recommend completing your course of antibiotics and drinking large amounts of water to help flush this sediment out of your bladder. I don't think related to your history of kidney stones. But ask your md. ...Read more
I have kidney stones of 3.4 n 3.8mm. In 1st urine test albumin is +, and after 10 days again it show albumin is traced... Is it normal or any serious ?
Here are some...: Most likely, the trace-(+) finding of albumin is not clinically significant, i.e., not serious, but annual urinalysis for next 3-5 yrs as follow-ups for comparison is reasonable. As to the kidney stone of 3.4x3.8 mm, you may leave it alone as long as not bothering you since the odd to pass a stone of this size is high. More? I had urinalysis done tonight because of a kidney stone my one question i have is Squamous Epi Cell normal in the urine I see the normal range is 0-3 and mine was 5-10 what could that mean?
Yes: Depends where the kidney stone is. If it is in the renal pelvis or bladder and not sufficiently irritating the lining of the kidney, ureter (kidney to bladder), urethra (bladder to outside), there may be no visible blood. Often, a simple urine dip test done in your physicians office will be able to detect microscopic blood in your urine. Are you having flank pain or painful urination? See your doc. ...Read more
