Why is my stools colour keep on changing from brown to tarry green but no sign of blood? I'm quite concern as it has been 2 weeks now.
Tarry is concerning: When you say tarry green if you mean green with some black in it then that is concerning for upper gastrointestinal bleeding. If there is blood in the stomach from something like an ulcer then you can have tarry stools. Best to see your doctor and get a test to make sure there is no blood I your stools (you can't always see it) and if there is any then you will need a colonoscopy. ...Read more

I have soft mushy brown stool for a week? No controll over holding in stool? And these past three days my stool has been green? And no pain or blood?
Soft stools: The color of the stool doesn't matter. It sounds like you have a viral infection, lactose intolerance or a reaction to something you ate. My best advice is to avoid all dairy products for 3-5 days and limit your diet to Bananas, rice, fresh apples, tea, dry toast and yogurt (vanilla or lemon). The yogurt replenishes the good bacteria in yuur bowel. ...Read more

What could cause a whitish-green stool? Earlier I passed a whitish-green stool and in the same movement had normal brown stool. What's going on?
What you ate,,: Whatever you ate is the likely cause of your abnormal colored stool. Sometimes if you had a lot of vegetables or fatty foods, it changes the way your stool looks. Fatty foods can make it look lighter in color while red meat may make it darker. Different vegetables can make it look greener. Without any health issues and being that you're young it's likely ok. See your dr. If still concerned. ...Read more
Is it normal to have light brown/whitish/dark green stools that are brown in the middle with IBS-C? The stools seem to be normal in shape
Likely Normal: The color of one's stools vary with the length of time it takes for the waste matter to pass through your intestines; the longer it takes, the more time intestinal bacteria have to metabolize the pigments in the stools; so the progressions would be from green, to brown, to dark brown; the whitish color may be just some mucus; ...Read more

I have H. pylori and for the past year im constipated or my stools are green or yellow and dark brown why?? should I be worried?
H pylori should have little effect on your stool consistency.
Functional constipation is very common, and consider increasing dietary sources of fiber (vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and nuts), as well as increasing water you drink throughout the day. Sometimes a stool softener may help. The color of stool you describe is quite normal.

I am very constipated. I have stool softner. Will that help? I am on citolapram for panic attacks too. Help! Also its green and brown. Help
Yes: Stool softeners like colace (docusate sodium) or surfak usually help. Citalopram is not known for causing problems with constipation, but it is possible. I would discuss your concerns with your doctor, especially if the constipation is a significant change for you. You may have something else going on which could benefit from some medical attention. My 3 mo. Old has had yellow brown stools about 4-5times a day for the last 3-4 days different from his 1x to evey other day green poop. Is this normal?
Stools are OK: This can be normal. If you have changed what he/she is eating, then you will see a change in the frequency and color of the stool. If the baby is acting well, I wouldn't necessarily do anything different. If the baby is acting ill, then the increased frequency may be a symptom of the illness. The color isn't significant. If the baby is acting ill, and not eating well, he needs to see his doc. ...Read more
