Is it common to have on-off, sharp sore pain under the ribs and upper left part of the abdomen, with no other symptoms 3days post normal colonoscopy?

Yes: May just be gas/irritation of colon from procedure. If no better in a few days, or if gets worse, or you have pain, vomiting or fever, see a doctor. Good luck!

After longconstipation/blockage colonoscopy, taking Citrucel but still bloated, sore stomach. What should my doc check next? Is this damage that can heal?

Gut flora needs: To be balanced. Consider seeing a nutritionist and taking a Probiotic. (Dr. Ohira brand is a good one.) Stick w/your doc so any medical conditions can be identified or ruled out. Possible food sensitivity. Great Plains Laboratory in KS has a good lab test for that. Peace and good health.

3rd colonoscopy, 1st time painful during and after. Why tender in abdomen. Sedation was not effective. No gas, polyps, disease. CD in remission.?

Unknown: If you are having a different reaction than before, talk to your doctor who did the scope. One thing we all worry about is an undiagnosed perforation of the colon. If you have that, you need treatment now. Tell your doctor your symptoms now.

Left flank pain tender to touch, can't lay on left side. Abdominal CT scan was ok. What else could pain be from? Upper endoscopy, colonoscopy ok

Many possibilities: I don't have enough information to provide a good answer. How long has the pain been present? Any history of injury? What worsens the pain? What makes it better? What diagnosis have you been given? How severe is the pain? What lab tests have been done? We need more info, please. Kind regards, pamela svendsen, md.

Why do I have stiff painful joints, sometimes tender to touch never swollen. Muscle twitches. Have colonoscopy in 4w for stomach issues. Any relation?

Possible but more in: WE need more information. Joint pain can occur with intestinal problems and you need to discuss with your gastroenterologist. We need information on your labs, your imaging, your colon status. You may need your physician have you see a rheumatologist.

Well, you had a good: Look at the upper and lower gastrointestinal system back in February, but it doesn't sound like you really have a diagnosis yet. This is the highest priority. It's not clear whether your symptoms are coming from the GI tract, the lungs/pleural cavity, or even your heart. Continue working with your doctor to make the diagnosis and implement effective treatment. Good wishes:)

Had a colonoscopy a 2 week ago. A large polyp was removed 5 inches inside, no problems until last few days, very sore in the rectum, no blood.

Getting better/worse: ?? if worse, would definitely go see your GI doc. Did you get constipated after the procedure perhaps? Sometimes straining can lead to more painful hemorrhoids. Make sure you know what your polyp was as well (tubular adenoma, tubulovilleous adenoma, any dysplastic changes) and when they want you back.

I had a Colonoscopy two and half days ago is it normal to be still sore and uncomfy?

I had a Colonoscopy two and half days ago is it normal to be still sore and uncomfy?

Yes if it was: A difficult scope. Best to notify the endoscopist so that they can offer the best advice based on the difficulty of the procedure. If you are also running a fever with no other cause you should immediately notify the doctor who did the colonoscopy especially if it is not getting better or is getting worse

Occasional sore bottom with red watery discharge on toilet paper. Diagnosed 6 years ago with hemeroids thru colonoscopy. Should I be seen again?

Follow up: If you continue to have rectal bleeding, and you haven't been evaluated by a gastroenterologist for 6 years, it would be wise to follow-up just to make sure that hemorrhoids is the cause.

Can a colonoscopy disrupt abdominal or chest muscles? Have been experiencing left side sore-discomfort, on-off pain since a colonoscopy 5 days ago.

Abdominal pain: More likely there was a stretching or irritation of the lining of the colon. Less likely is diverticulitis or a micro perforation. Without fever or persistent pain, the discomfort should subside over the next few days.

Is it ok to have colonoscopy with a head cold and sore throat?

Is it ok to have colonoscopy with a head cold and sore throat?

It may not be very: Comfortable but there is no specific restriction for this procedure. You will receive some twilight anesthesia so potentially this could be a reason to wait as well as the potential to infect the operators and nurses doing your procedure. If it is elective it would probably be in the best interest of everyone involved for you to wait until you are back to full health.
