Hard to be sure...: A simple tummy ache with symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, whether at home or traveling, may be from a virus infection, bacteria infection, or contaminated food. A normal person, not on medications, usually recovers easily. Taking a pedialyte popsicle hourly, plus drinking/eating little else for a day, may settle things down. The doctor can check to see if there is anything serious.

Many: Most people think their whole abdomen is their stomach, but the stomach is in the upper middle or upper left of the abdomen. If your lower abdomen hurts, that could be your skin, muscles, bladder, uterus, or intestines. If the upper part of your abdomen hurts, it could be acid reflux, pancreatitis, or other problems. No: Our brain can't tell the difference in pain signals from heart, esophagus, stomach, duodenum, liver, pancreas, bile ducts, liver, or gallbladder. So illnesses of any of those organs causes upper abdominal pain; gallbladder is most common. Lower abdominal pain can be from small intestine or colon. See dr. ; get proper diagnosis; good luck!
