I have acid reflux symptoms, burp a lot to relieve stomach pain, have an endoscopy scheduled next week. What sort of diagnosis should I expect?
I have gallstones and also h pylori as per dr diagnosis i m confused that stomach pain bloating and discomfort its bcoz of gallstones or not please ans?
Could be several: Gallstones can cause a sudden sharp pain in the right upper part of abdomen near ribs, worse after fatty meals. H pylori causes irritations like stomach ulcers or reflux, usually a burning pain in the center or upper left, could be bloating. Ulcers: Bright red blood in the stool is from hemorrhoids. Black stool is digested blood from stomach ulcers. These can be treated with Prilosec and suppositories. Get tested for h.Pylori. You're not too far gone to recover, but this is going to take some work. EGD diagnosis atrophic gastritis/IM. 4d history of moderate to severe stomach pain, fever, nausea/vomiting worse at night. What can I take for relief besides PPI?
Fever abdominal pain: If EGD was 4 days ago call your doctor/ ER/urgent care NOW and state you are having post procedure pain and fever, could be from biopsy site ,microperforation, pancreatitis,bleed, sepsis or spasm. If EGD was a while ago can be H. pylori, infection, gallbladder,pancreatitis, esophageal infection ( rarely candida). Ranitidine/carafate may help, but need to seek immediate medical attention. ...Read more
