Iv'e been having stomach pain for 3 days the pain is between my rib cage what could it be?

What brings on the pain and what relieves it? Any other symptoms like nausea, bloating. Are you on any meds? Have you had prior surgery? Beyond these questions, doing a physical exam can also help. I recommend you make an appt with your primary care doctor. ...Read more

Have had stomach pain for past 2 weeks that feels like flutters on the left side under rib cage along with chest pain and back pain. What could it be?

Have had stomach pain for past 2 weeks that feels like flutters on the left side under rib cage along with chest pain and back pain. What could it be?

More than 1 problem: The stomach pain is most likely caused by stomach pain. But the flutters are due to irregularities in your heart rhythm - most often in your age group: premature atrial beats (or contractions). You can feel better by avoiding caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, and getting plenty of sleep and trying stress reduction techniques (like yoga or TM). IF that fails, there are meds that can help. ...Read more

Gallbladder or ulcer: Without knowing more, it is difficult to say what the cause is, however it can be related to your gallbladder (gallstones) or stomach (ulcer disease) especially if you are taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids like Motrin or ibuprofen). You should contact your pcp to gather more information and possibly run some tests like an ultrasound. If you have fever/severe pain, go to er. ...Read more

I have been having sever stomach pains all under my rib cage. It goes on and off but when it comes it hurts so much I can't move when I say it comes off and on I mean it is there for about an hour and I can't move and the pain is so sever I start crying a

The: The location suggests a few possible sources of your pain. It could be gastroesophageal reflux (usually burning in character and worse when lying down), an ulcer (burning or gnawing pain, not really positional but perhaps worse on an empty stomach), gallstones (crampy pain that gets worse after you eat), or pancreatitis (deep gnawing pain).

Whether or not these things would be picked up by a blood test depends on the tests that were done. If all your doctor did was a test called CBC (complete blood count), then they could all have been missed. The timeline of your doctor visit is also important: if you saw him or her three days ago, got a clean bill of health, but now still have pain, then you should go back and see the doctor again. Ask him or here whether you need to be tested for the conditions listed above. ...Read more

I have stomach pains above my belly button and between my rib cage and my lower back hurts but I had my period already?

I have stomach pains above my belly button and between my rib cage and my lower back hurts but I had my period already?

Abdominal pain: Sounds like you have epigastric pain, which is usually due to some problem with your gastrointestinal tract and not your pelvic organs. Would need to know what other symptoms you have to help pinpoint what the likely cause is. You may want to try an anti-gas product first to see if it is gas pain. Your back pain may be unrelated. ...Read more

2mos off/on dull intermittent ache bottom of left rib cage almost on top of stomach. Feels muscular but can also feel acidic in tummy. Any idea?

See your doctor: As you mentioned that you may have increased 'acid in your tummy', this may mean or point toward some form of hyperacidity issue occurring in your stomach that needs to be worked up.
