Not likely.: Low potassium in and of itself is unlikely to cause this symptom. If potassium is on the low side regularly might want to discuss possibility of hyperaldosteronism or too much hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) with your doc. ...Read more

If you are awakening from sleep due to pain, your symptoms don't come ; go but are unchanging ; ever present (or are actually worsening), accompanied by fever, bleeding, wt. COMPLEX: Your descriptions could fit many different syndromes, but would wonder if in fact you suffer, in part, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. An ambulatory eeg might help. Re. B-12 issues, this can be easily resolved with a methyl melonic acid and homocysteine level, but also check folate (folic acid) levels. Might also obtain spinal fluid for immunological studies.
