I have had stomach pain for over a week now and now I am bleeding. Should I be concerned? I have had a hysterectomy so I do not have periods.

Hello.: Hello. Recommend that this be evaluated. If the bleeding is vaginal in a woman who has had a hysterectomy, this is a menstrual change which needs to be assessed. If the bleeding is from your anus, that is some form of gastrointenstinal bleeding and also needs to be evaluated. When there is severe abdominal pain, it should evaluated post haste. Take care.

I had a partial hysterectomy 5 months ago (uterus only) I am experiencing stomach pain and bleeding after sex. Should I be worried?

Not normal: You really should not be having bleeding after sex if they have removed your uterus. Could be from the incision site or an infection. Either way you need an exam.

I am suffering with lots of pain from an 4.6 ovarian cyst I had a partial hysterectomy 9 years ago I'm having lots of stomach pain vomiting and leg?

See your doctor: Cysts on the ovary are common and not necessarily a problem. That said, some cysts represent abnormal growths and need to be removed. Large cysts that cause pain need to be evaluated by your doctor. The other symptoms may or may not be related but they should be evaluated as well. Cysts (especially in a 48 yo with symptoms) require a visit to the doctor.

May need an egd: You may need a endogastroduodenoscopic exam for better evaluation if still have stomach pain done by a gastroenterologist. I would strongly consider delaying a hysterectomy if you still have these other symptoms unless the hysterectomy is considered an urgent procedure.

I am having abdominal pain, left and right side, bad back pains have had complete hysterectomy and gallbladder removed

Talk to your surgeon: Without knowing why you had surgery or when you had surgery it is difficult to know if these symptoms are/aren't related to your surgery. Therefore, call your surgeon and discuss this with him.

7 months post op hysterectomy abdominal pain?

7 months post op hysterectomy abdominal pain?

Many options: It certainly could be scar tissue, but if it only just started 7 months after surgery, there are plenty of other non-hysterectomy issues that could play a role. Check with your obgyn.

I had a hysterectomy about 6 months ago and now I am having lower abdominal pain and it really hurts after sex what could be wrong?

I had a hysterectomy about 6 months ago and now I am having lower abdominal pain and it really hurts after sex what could be wrong?

Need exam: Lower abdominal pain and pain with intercourse that didn't start until 6 months after your hysterectomy is unlikely to be due to the hysterectomy. Normally these symptoms would have started sooner if the hysterectomy was the cause. You need to be seen for a full history, exam, and possibly testing to find the cause. Hope this helps.

Is it normal to still have abdominal pain after a hysterectomy?

Complicated: This is a very complicated question. The answer depends on many details of your situation. How long ago was the hysterectomy? What was the reason for it? Did you and the doctors both expect your pain to get better with surgery? Or is the pain just since surgery? Any other medical issues? Plus various other factors. Sorry no easy answers. You'll have to be more specific.

Hernia?: I would have your doctor examine you and see if it could be a hernia I do not limit my patients that have this problem from exercising so that if needed they can attempt weight loss before surgery.

Since january I have experienced swollen painful breasts & abdominal pain. I had a hysterectomy may 2013, I kept my ovaries. What is happening to me?

Hormonal changes: The average age of menopause is 51, so at 47 it would still be a little early, but not impossible for these changes to be related to menopause. I would definitely want you to see a doctor though, to make sure that there's nothing serious going on. Typically Progesterone is the hormone that causes breast pain and it could be that your hormones are just 'off'. See a doctor though to make certain!

How long after hysterectomy (w/fibroids and left ovary) can abdominal pain and bloating realistically last, even if intermittently?

How long after hysterectomy (w/fibroids and left ovary) can abdominal pain and bloating realistically last, even if intermittently?

Depends: Usually people are over acute side effects of abdominal surgery by 3-5 weeks. There can be many reasons for those symptoms. Probably best to visit primary doctor and see if other testing is needed.
