Could you have e coli if you get severe stomach pain nausea and fever after eating undercooked hamburger meat?

Possible gastritis

Abdomen
The USDA screens for E. coli 0157:H7, however people may occasionally ingest contaminated food and experience a wide range of health effects. Some do not get sick at all, others may present with symptoms ranging from severe stomach cramps, to vomiting, fever, and watery or bloody diarrhea. These symptoms usually appear within 1-10 days after contact with the bacteria, and clear up within 5-10 days

62 yo f w/ colon ca avoids meat bc it causes stomach pain. Could chemo cause the change in digestion? Any advice for foods that don't cause pain?

Have u had surgery?

Colonic
When was the colon ca diagnosis? have u had surgery? If so, how long ago? Surgery itself can cause issues with digestion (adhesions, partial obstruction, etc.?) If you never had surgery the tumor itself may cause symptoms. What type of pain is it? Vomiting?, Reflux? you may want to see your oncologist or a surgeon to better evaluate.

Dr. Geoffrey Ndeto answered:

What to do if I have bad stomach pain after painful endoscopy?

Time frame ?

Pain
In the immediate period after endoscopy, the pain could be from gaseous distention but this usually passes once the gas has been passed. If however the pain symptoms are severe after this period or even in the immediate period following the procedure, I would check right away with your GI doctor so as to assure that all is well.

Dr. Robert Kent answered:

Bad stomach pain after painful endoscopy, what do you recommend?

Call physician

Pain
who did the endoscopy to be safe. If pain is not going way, getting worse, or you start noticing other symptoms, stay safe and go to ER. Endoscopy, as long as it is not along with something to help with a stricture, should not be painful hours later. If it was painful at time, may have caused some inflammation, but check to be safe.

Sounds

Sexual_intercourse
like urethritis, especially if you have pus from urethra. Get checked for gonorrhea or chlamydia, and, while you are at it, for HIV, hepatitis, and syphilis.

I have a gastroscopy in two weeks. But my stomach pain/burning is so painful and getting worse. Its constant. Is it ok to wait?

Abdominal pain

If there are any dramatic changes in your pain quality, severity or development of new associated symptoms (i.e. Nausea, vomiting, difficulty swallowing, painful swallowing, blood in stools, black stools, etc) then you should have your exam sooner. Otherwise its probably ok to wait assuming you were evaluated by a health professional already.
