Candida: Candidal esophagitis or gastritis is not seen unless the patient is profoundly immune suppressed. This can be due to conditions like HIV/AIDS, severe malignancy, chemotherapy and so on. Gastritis?: Hi SteveM, it is possible you have developed inflammation of the stomach. This can happen from reflux, ulceration, infection, allergies, alcohol, and certain types of food. It is a good reason to see your doctor. He may want to trial a medication to decrease acid in your stomach. U should try to limit yourself to small healthy meals and avoid acidic/ spicy foods and avoid alcohol. Hope that helps. ...Read more
