Since stomachs already have lots of acid, do sour foods really cause stomach pain?

Since stomachs already have lots of acid, do sour foods really cause stomach pain?

But, if you have problems such as ulcers, gastritis etc. Which may be from hypersecretion of acid (more than usual) to start with, then adding acidic foods (sour) may/more likely cause stomach upset/trouble for you.
If u have problem with sour stomach, consult doc.
Good luck.. ...Read more

How do I get rid of stomach pain? I have pain in my lower left stomach. I also get stomach aches very often and I don't know what causes this

There: There are multiple causes of stomach pain. You should start with a visit to your primary care provider for a complete work up of your abdominal pain. Hi...What treatment should I take for hiatal hernia? And how can I avoid stomach pain?

Depends on symptoms: Many hiatal hernias require no treatment at all. Often the hiatal hernia is associated with gastresophogeal reflux disease (gerd). Symptoms of gerd can be treated with over the counter antacids. If these fail, there are prescription strength acid blockers available.
If these are ineffective you should see a gastroenerologist. Less than 5% of gerd related problems require surgical correction. ...Read more
