Stomach Discomfort After Endoscopy
Upper mid gastric discomfort. Had endoscopy and took numerous acid reflux pills. Nothing. Endoscopy reveals nothing. Boating and discomfort. No pain ?
Have post-infectious dyspepsia after stomach bug. Stomach burning resolved. Stopped ppi after 12 weeks. Now bloating and burping. What's the cause?

Given the information you presented, it's likely that your symptoms are due to stopping the PPI abruptly. GI care: It seams that you are being evaluated for these conditions. How long on Protonix (pantoprazole) and carafate and how much benefit? Are some of your symptoms newer since on this regimen? NEXIUM (esomeprazole) =GOOD: I assume you had a 'scope' (an egd) to diagnose the 'ulcer'. An esophageal ulcer (gerd ulcer) and hiatal hernia can be painful conditions. UTI probably: Extensive work up is reassuring. Yes chronic cystitis and urinary tract infection could cause low to mid back pain especially if there is an extension causing kidney infection. Might be an ulcer: your symptoms suggest that you might having an ulcer or gastritis it could a side effect to the surgery that you had some of the side effect of the reflux surgery of course are bloating delayed gastric emptying that could lead to ulcer or gastritis i am assuming you had your motility study and esophageal pH and gastric emptying study before your surgery you need to see your GI doctor ...Read more

Also sludge in the gall bladder may not be visible on ultrasound and could cause these symptoms.
