DIET: Your history indicates you have had a good deal of testing including a liver biopsy!! Your question should be re-asked with more information. One suggestion: The most common reason for gas and bloating/belching is DIETARY! If you have to empty: bowels frequently, like every few hours, that is considered "diarrhea" even without lose stool. Perhaps you have infection (like gastroenteritis) or very poor digestion from overly fatty/rich foods. But with the fever and chills, it is likely infection. I would drink lots of liquids (water, sports drinks, ginger ale) but avoid sodas and soups. Perhaps some broth. Don't eat solids yet. ...Read more
