A large colon mass or stomach mass could be seen on a study for kidney stone, but it is unlikely. Ct scans are good at looking at parts of the body that are more solid and less tube like. There is a blood test the cea that is high in some cancers, but usually only when quite advanced and not specific to colon cancer. Now, a ct might suggest a colon cancer, however, colonoscopy is considered the gold standard for detecting colon growths. Tanning beds = bad: My first advice for you would be to stop using tanning beds. Using tanning beds before the age of 35 increases your risk of melanoma by 75%.
