Need more info: I'd need lots more info to help on this one. How long have symptoms been there, how high is fever, and exposures or rashes, shot record, etc. This could be strep, could be influenza, possibly mono, other viruses. I have burning stomach pains, nausea when I lay flat, diarrhea 1-2 times a day. Mostly wakes me up at night from the pain and some diarrhea.
Stomach issues: It sounds like you have both upper and lower Gastrointestinal problems - the nausea and pain in stomach could be virus or acid reflux. Not OK: It should not be painful to void or have a bowel movement. You should have a thorough medical evaluation to determine why this is the case. Go and see a gastroenterologists to decide about need x endoscopy or at least your primary care physician. Probably because all night long you are digesting food from previous day and in addition standing all day lon probably has the effect of allowing retained water to extend down with gravity's help to the lowest part of your abdominal wall where as at night it has a chance to clear.
