I assume: You are doing all this to combat swollen extremities. Elevation of feet is helpful. The hoosiery does not have to be worn at night. It is meant to wear when standing to combat effects of gravity. True elevation is above heart level so the pillows are a good idea. It too though may not be necessary. Most of the time when people awake they have no swelling in the morning with no pillow as well. ...Read more

Even compression: If your hose is even and proper uniform compression, it should not cut off circulation. In my experience, blood pooling seems to cause cooler temperature sensations. The extra water in the tissues sucks up some of your heat. ...Read more

By compressing veins: & potentially decreasing edema (local ? in extracellular water). However, important to not have tourniquet band/effect at top which will undo any benefit; best support from waist/garter belt. Also best to keep moving. Movement is what powers the venous pump so that blood stair-steps through venous valves back to heart, rather than stretching out the veins resulting in varicose veins over time. ...Read more

Need evaluation..: You went half way and got the result of the leg pain through the ultrasound, you need to see a doctor with the u/sound report to see if treatment is necessary or it's just a very small capillary .. ...Read more
