Hive & rash: you have urticaria or allergic dermatitis, it is best if you see your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment, at the mean time try an antihistamine such as Zyrtec or Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) hydrocortisone cream, but you need to find out what you are allergic to. Reaction...: If there was a sting or bite the usual response is a skin reaction. Monitor the area and if the symptoms increase, the rash spreads and/or gets painful you will need to go to the ED as that could be a potential allergy. Get better soon! ...Read more

Could be many things: Eczema, contact dermatitis, or even shingles, if you had chicken pox as a child. However, shingles would be rare in an adolescent with a normal immune system. Try switching to a hypoallergenic laundry detergent and bathe with hypoallergenic soaps. Patients with eczema have higher sensitivity to allergens. Abscess, boil?: If you have a newly tender lump it could be a skin infecton: boil (aka abscess, furuncle, carbuncle). Don't squeeze it. Apply warm compresses. (heat on 30 minutes off an hour) 4 times or so a day. If it is as large as a walnut and squshy it might needed to be drained. Your doc or an UC can do this.
