Not at same time: Stillnox is a brand name for zolpidem. Its hypnotic effects are similar to valium's, but it's a different kind of molecule. I would definitely not recommend taking these at the same time because the combined sedation will be more than with either alone. It could even be overkill to use both at all. NO, treat the cause: Asthenia is not an illness but a symptom with many possible causes- find & address. Stilnox is just a sleeping pill. B complex may help a bit. Possible causes include anemia, thyroid & other hormonal imbalances, vitamin/mineral/amino acid deficiencies, chronic infections (viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic), environmental or food allergies, toxins, sleep apnea, stress etc. She should see a good doc. ...Read more

Need medical eval: Yes, Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) can cause weight gain but so can bulimia, depression, thyroid disorder, abnormal blood sugar etc. Get checked by your pcp to rule out medical factors for weight gain. Talk to prescribing doctor about weight gain on Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) and review alternate meds. Would add therapy to help you work on eating disorder, depression and chain smoking.
