Give it some time: Speak to your obstetrician and make sure that all aspects have been evaluated for the stillbirth. If there was a compromise in the umbilical cord that may potentially give an answer. Also chromosomal evaluation may be helpful along with familial thrombophilia clotting studies. Allow yourself and your partner to grieve the death of the child before jumping into the next pregnancy. Make sure that all potential causes have been evaluated before attempting another pregnancy.
