Few days ago, I woke up with neck pain/stiffness. Symptoms relieved after a couple days. Now I woke up with pain at the center base of my right palm.
Not sure the events: Are related, but pain in the neck followed by pain/weakness of a limb is never a good thing... if they are connected. Or they may be completely random, separate things. Either way you should see a healthcare provider for further examination and hopefully diagnosis. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap. ...Read more
DDx pain Symptoms:stiffness-spine back&neck, hyperaesthesia, Allodynia, Paraesthesia, 9/10 pain Findings:Undissipated Central canal, few overactive reflexs
Several possibilitie: Your history is not entirely clear. I am assuming that the stiffness is only in the neck? Or the entire spine? Is there a history of fever? If so meningitis should be in the differential. Also, where are the hyperesthesia, allodynia and parresthesia complaints present? I am assuming in the limbs limbs possibly. If so, central nervous conditions should be entertaihed such as MS or T myelitis. ...Read more

See your physician: There are many types of headaches and many reasons for each type. You should see your primary care physician first who can refer you to a neurologist. It would be helpful for you to keep a "headache calendar" by noting down the frequency, duration, location, and intensity of your headaches, along with associated symptoms. Http://www. Nlm. Nih. I've had fever, severe neck stiffness, and headache. I get migraines occasionally, but not with these symptoms - is this cause for concern?
Contact your doctor:
You may well have an infection, likely viral, but hard to pinpoint at this time. The migraines can kick up secondarily but the primary issue seems infectious. Contact your doctor ASAP and get this addressed.
If your fever is high, and you start getting delirious, a lumbar puncture is advised. ...Read more
After a head to head hit in a recent football game, I got a slight stiffness/crick in my neck that soon went away. No other symptoms. Head concussion?
YouGotACrickcussion: If you have no symptoms now you're sitting pretty! And just a little neck stiffness does not qualify as a true concussion. More like a neck strain. With a concussion, the brain gets a good bounce inside the skull & you'd be left with a headache & other symptoms. You may or may not have blacked out, but the symptoms last a while, sometimes a long while. The spinal cord can experience something similar. ...Read more
