A couple of thought : Your symptoms suggest a couple things. Inflammatory . Our thoughts include such diagnoses as arthritis, myositis are a couple thoughts. When you see a rheumatologist we will look for a variety of inflammatory causes. You do not describe swelling so i think we also have to look at noninflammatory musculoskeletal problems. Other arthritis?: You are describing symptoms of arthritis, and not all arthritis is rheumatoid arthritis, so normal blood tests for RA don't exclude other types of arthritis.
