Stiffness And Tightness In Ankle Joints
16y M with Congenital icthyosis. Elbow, wrist, knee, ankle joint pain and stiffness. Greater in the morning. Relieved by walking/movement!
Physical Therapy: Congenital Ichthyosis is a genetic disorder; presents at birth with blisters of skin; progresses to thickened, marked scaling of skin; worse over flexural creases of joints & more. Treatment is mainly supportive. Tight skin limits joint range of motion. Increasing your physical activity can help which is why you get relief with movement. Stiffness in ankles, sharp burning pain in both ankle joints with activity, first felt this pain in august and still feel it today help?
Persistent stiffness in ankle and is mostly relieved by popping/cracking it (1-2x daily). History of oa in other joints. Possible oa here too?
Yes: Painless cracking or popping of a joint by itself is very common and not a problem by itself. But, if it is a associated with pain or locking/unlocking it may represent arthritis or a loose piece of bone or cartolage floating around in the joint. See a doctor and get at least an x-ray. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Check with your doctor to see if blood tests need to be run for confirmation. ...Read more

How to reduce swelling and muscle stiffness near knee joints and ankle joints after removing cast after knee surgery?
Left hand middle finger tight with stiffness. Can't bend it. Swollen @ the joint & palm. No pain, just uncomfortable.
No injury?: Assuming you haven't injured that finger somehow (sometimes it is hard to remember...might have seemed like nothing at the time)... I'm thinking things that aren't exactly "serious", but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt! Possibly tendinitis in that finger, or a bit of arthritis in the joint. Try using an ice pack, and reducing movement, maybe w/ a splint. If it continues, I would get an x-ray. ...Read more
