Plantar Fasciitis: Possible plantar fasciitis which is inflammation of the plantar fascia. Tightens at night causing pain in am. Rest, ice, stretching, avoid barefoot, good shoes and arch supports can help. See a podiatrist for further evaluation including a x-ray. Difficult problem: Your magnesium level should be checked.
Trying over the counter magnesium is an option even if your level is normal, also although not well understood Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 25 mg (antihistamine) works great for night (nocturnal) leg cramps.
Also if not contra indicated for you your md may also try Diltiazem a calcium channel blocker at night. ...Read more

Sore feet in AM: If its the sole of the foot - and its near the middle to back by the heel - sounds like plantar fasciaitis and NOT a spur. My recommendation is to get an x-ray of the foot and ankle to make sure that you don't have a fracture. Not a whole lot.....: ....will cause your symptoms in the MOUTH, legs, and feet all at once. Paresthesias can occur in and around the mouth during migraine heaaches but then, tingling and what not usually occurs in the fingers and toes...not generally lower extremities only. Secondary infection: She probably has a secondary infection from the opening that occurred from the fissures. If she is diabetic this can be dangerous and she needs to see a doctor for debridement of the lesion. If she isn't diabetic she can try otc antibiotic cream, if it doesn't get better she needs to see a doctor for PO antibiotics.
