Have a stiff neck knot in the back of my neck. Tingling in the center of my back to my lower of my head. Minor headaches vision blurry?
Yes: Often a pinched nerve in the neck or other cause of neck muscle stiffness can cause the "greater occipital nerve" to get irritated and produce sensations of numbness/ tingling/ "ants under the skin" in the region of the back of the scalp, the skin above the ears and even into the forehead. This is called greater occipital neuralgia and is a side effect of the primary issue. ...Read more

Both cheeks on face still tingling on and off since 12/24. I don't have visual probs, no stiff neck, no headache. Does this sound serious? I'm 18.
Might be ok:
It does not sound worrisome. Tingling is not always a sign of an illness, and since the symptoms come and go, there may not be much of an explanation in the end.
A total loss of sensation or weakness, especially on one side, is more concerning.
There's nothing wrong with checking with your doctor, but a week of symptoms like this is not an emergency. ...Read more
I have milk layer in mouth, body pain, stiff neck, some times tingling feeling in body, no fever or cough for almost 1 month. Any suggestions?
Does not sound good: The "milk layer" in your mouth suggests thrush (fungus) and this is not a good sign in adult unless specific cause is known such as recent antibiotic and/or steroid/inhaler use etc. Immunosuppressive state such as HIV is a cause of concern. Since you have symptoms for about 1 month now, it is time to consult doc to find out what is causing your trouble. Good luck. ...Read more

Friend and I knocked heads yesterday's really hard. Got an instant headache. I still have headache and now when I chew it hurts. Also stiff neck.
Post traumatic HA: Head hits can lead to daily headache, plus muscle tightness of face, jaw and neck. Likely this will resolve on it's own within 4 weeks or less. For the first 2 weeks, it's okay to take over-the counter Ibuprofen or Naproxen as needed. If it persists beyond 2 weeks, get in to a neurologist for evaluation and management. Good luck! ...Read more

I hit the back of my head on monday and its thursday night and the pain is getting worse on the back of my head and I have a stiff neck.?
Not uncommon: Similar to a car accident - you may feel worse several days after the accident. Did you lose consciousness? If so, then see your doctor for exam. Other concerning signs would be fuzzy thinking, headaches, dizziness, nausea, numbness / tingling in the hands or arms. If it is just stiffness and pain then I would see a chiropractor to help speed up the healing process. ...Read more

I experienced a two weeks of cluster headaches. I still got blurred fuzzy vision with occasional sharp pains in my head with stiff neck. Pls help?
Likely migraines: Cluster headaches are headaches on one side of the head with eye tearing and/or nose running on that same side of the head that make you agitated and pace that last 15-180 minutes untreated. Migraines last 4+ hours untreated and are more often associated with nausea and blurred vision. The distinction matters since we treat them differently. I've been having stiff neck problem for almost a week now. I can't turn my head properly. Usually it took only a day or two. I checked my cholesterol.?
Torticolis: Cholesterol shouldn't have anything to do with a stiff neck. It sounds as though you have strained the neck muscles leaving them in spasm. Time and anti-inflammatory medications such as tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin may be useful in relaxing the tissue to normal. Failing that, you may want to look into osteopathic or chiropractic manipulation. Daily exercise can help avoid this problem before it occurs. ...Read more
