Paresthesias can occur in and around the mouth during migraine heaaches but then, tingling and what not usually occurs in the fingers and toes...not generally lower extremities only. Don't assume ...: That there is no joint inflammation because sed rate is normal. It's unclear from your note how long you have been experiencing severe joint pain; in the early stages of joint inflammation the sed rate may be normal and even the finding of joint swelling can be subtle.
