Need PCP evaluation: not enough information for reason why ranitidine prescribed. Infant needs a thorough PE to evaluate problem. Should be examined: Pain is an indication something is wrong. You may wish to check with your md or dentist, but this is not normal and should be examined now. If you cannot open very wide (3 finger widths) then it might be your jaw function. If you are waking with headaches it might also involve your sleep and airway at night.
