Steroids Make Heart Flutter
Not directly: The sensation of palpitations is fairly common and steroids (depending on the type, potency, and route of administration) have many possible adverse effects, including some cardiovascular ones. However, it is more likely that the underlying condition for which you are receiving the steroids, or associated conditions, may be the root cause of the "flutter". If persistent, talk to your doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Rhythm problem: Palpitations or fluttering sensations in the chest most commonly mean that the heart is actually beating irregular with some early beats and some pauses. This can occur at any time of day but not uncommonly, the patient is more likely to notice the sensations at night when lying still or on the left side. Also, in some cases the skipping is more likely to occur when the pulse is slower(lying down). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Yes: Heart flutter can mean almost anything to different people. I have had patients note "palpitations" or "gurgling" in their chest from a hiatal hernai and I have also had patients with proven severe erosive esophagitis develop symptomatic arrhythmias (apc, vpc and paf) which resolved with treatment of their reflux. So "heart flutters" may or may not be causally associated with reflux/hiatal hernias. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Probably not: I have never seen or heard of that. If you just mean palpitations or a fluttering sensation in the chest, perhaps. Some people get bloating from a high fiber diet and that could possible cause fluttering sensations in the chest. All palpitations are not related to actual irregular heart beat. The palpitation is just a sensation that you get of fluttering in the chest. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
