What exactly are topical steroid gels used for?

What exactly are topical steroid gels used for?

Better absorption &: I am assuming you are talking about sex steroids like Estradiol or testosterone. Fewer side effects are likely, because they do not go through the liver first. Most forms are creams and ointments, not gels. ...Read more

Pus oozing rash: It depends on the cause of your rash. If you were given the steroid to help treat a skin irritant like posien Ivy, then the oozing is not infectious and the peroxide was not helpful. If on the other hand the rash got infected, it would be red, warm, tender and may ooze, then yes, peroxide and triple topical antibiotic like neosporin would be helpful. If so, you should contact your doc. ...Read more
