Contemplating temporary steroid use, is this okay?

Contemplating temporary steroid use, is this okay?

I'd urge you not to: I've been around gyms for four decades and most men who try Anabolic steroids are sorry. There are some risks, but most men don't suffer the disastrous effects. Most frightening is the effect on your mood -- it takes only seconds to do something you may regret terribly. Most women prefer a naturally-fit looking man, and you are breaking the law and cheating. ...Read more

What are pros and cons of steroid use?

A no-brainer.: Cons: high blood pressure, damage to the immune system, high cholesterol, diabetes, breast enlargement (gynecomastia), bad acne, liver damage, obnoxiously aggressive behavior, stretch marks, cardiac arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, heart attacks, sudden cardiac death...And oh, yes, impotence. Not to mention that it will get you banned from competition permanently. Pros: i can't think of any. ...Read more

Can you recover from long-term steroid use?

Can you recover from long-term steroid use?

Yes: Most men who've tried steroids have regretted it, but unless you've committed an act of senseless violence, you'll recover with stretch marks and saggy skin. Most women prefer a natural fitness guy, and steroids are illegal and cheating. Put it behind you and enjoy a world in which no one has a perfect body. ...Read more

How to confront my boyfriend about his steroid use?

How to confront my boyfriend about his steroid use?

Do you need to?: I am going to assume that he is using Anabolic steroids as part of a muscle-gaining scheme. He has thought hard about this and decided to do it. About 1 million men in the USA are using steroids like this, mostly illegally, and most do not suffer serious ill-effects. If his behavior becomes unacceptable, you'll need to respond appropriately. My idea; other physicians here may disagree strongly. ...Read more

Could you tell me how much gains do you lose after stopping steroid use?

Could you tell me how much gains do you lose after stopping steroid use?

Not enough info: Are you talking about Anabolic steroids or glucocorticosteroids?. What specifically do you mean by gains? Are we speaking about muscle bulk and strength after anabolic steroid use? If that is the case you will gradually lose the gains after the use is stopped. ...Read more

Help please? I want to know what are dangerous physical side effects of steroid use?

Help please? I want to know what are dangerous physical side effects of steroid use?

Heart & liver: They promote atherosclerosis by altering lipids. Occasionally they produce liver lesions that may cause hemorrhage. Gynecomastia and testicular atrophy will get the user ridiculed but aren't so dangerous. The greatest danger is to behavioral health. Many users have done things impulsively that they've regretted horribly for the rest of their lives. I hope you'll decide to 'be natural.' ...Read more
