Sterile Stretch Gauze Bandage Medication
I have a herniate belly button. Underneath to the left was a very small blister. I lanced it and it won't stop weeping clear fluid. It's been 4 days so far. I am keeping it clean, treating with Neosporin, and covered with sterile gauze and bandage.
Out of curiosity: how soon after a small burn that is not treated (i.E. Covered with sterile gauze) can gangrene or tetanus occur?
Burn infections: Tetanus does not occur with burns, it occurs with deep cuts or puncture wounds. Gangrene is an infection caused by one of several bacterial. It starts as a small infection that goes deep into the tissues. It then spreads there and produces a gas. Infections can occur with burns which are not treated, but not always and rarely with the bacteria that causes gangrene. ...Read more
Often the Same: It is more on how they are intended to be used. Bandages for covering an open wound should never be reused because of the risk of infection. Use them once when they are clean then throw them away. Elastic type bandages e.g. splinting a sprained ankle can be reused because they do not need to be sterile- just clean. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

In order to relieve the burn pain. Should i dress it like a normal 2nd degree burn with bactine and bandage gauze?
You need exam: 2nd degree burn can vary widely. Deep 2nd acts more like a 3rd, superficial 2nd acts more like a 1st. Treatment (at the least) would be cleansing frequently with soap/water, removing any dead skin/tissue, and coverage with antibiotic oint like silvadene (silver sulfadiazine). All of this can vary with size/location/depth. If the injury is bigger than a quarter, has inc. Redness, or is over a joint- get to a burn dr. ...Read more

I just got my knuckle bone removed out of my pinky toe15 min ago. Can I have put my sock on? I forgot to ask him. He put gauze and an ACE bandage on.
If the sock fits: More times than not, a stockinette type tube stocking is applied before you leave the operatory. If you were not given one, then by all means wear your sock if it fits over the bandage. It might get a little bloody, but what the heck. ...Read more
Leg cellulitis.......used bacitracin ointment on gauze pads and wrapped in ace bandage for 3 days with little improvement Starting taking 300 mg cib?
What is "cib"?: How do you know you have cellulitis? Most diagnoses of leg cellulitis are not correct. Stasis dermatitis is much more common. This is a sad but common error. If you have cellulitis, or any other cause for red & swollen leg, bacitracin is useless. In fact it frequently causes allergic reactions which make it worse. See a dermatologist. ...Read more

Consult Orthopedist: I would give your orthopedist an immediate call for bloody drainage in an amount significant enough to soak through gauze and a plaster splint. Can you tell me for some women, secretion of gnrh is inadequate, they're consider sterile and are treated drugs that mimic it?
GnRH secretion: Some women (and men) fail to secrete GnRH from the hypothalamus (part of the brain). Therefore, there is no signal to the pituitary to make reproductive hormones (FSH and LH). Perhaps: Opioid drugs lower testosterone in men and interfere with the menstrual cycle in females; both can contribute to infertility. Thc also reduces testosterone and sperm counts but I am unaware if it will lead to menstrual problems without other co-occurring medical diseases. Use of stimulant drugs and/or alcohol may lead to malnutrition which may reduce fertility as well. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
