This is a disease which can be transmitted from one person to another person through sexually related activities. It does not include illnesses that may make an individual more susceptible to a condition because of a sexual ...Read more
I had a pap smear my gyn said I have a lot of white discharge and it is not normal do I have a STD I have no burning or itches?
The one who...: ...Could correctly answer that question is the gynecologist who told you that the discharge is abnormal. It could be an std, vaginitis (an infection of the vagina), or yeast. S/he most likely took a sample and sent it for testing. I don't think a doctor is likely to tell you s/he found something abnormal and then not do anything to investigate. You need to follow up with him or her. ...Read more

Burning around vaginal opening constantly. No stds, no itching, no discharge. Hurts to sit and burns long after urination. Help!?
Vaginal Burning: Sounds to me as if you may be having some residual urine or urine leakage for some reason, which is very irritating to the vaginal area. You may get a squeeze bottle filled with room temperature water and instead of using toilet paper use this to rinse off after going to the bathroom. Dab dry gently and see if this soothes pain and improves irritation. ...Read more
White discharge and foul smell. Could I be pregnant? I have no itching/burning down there or anywhere of that matter. Been tested 4 stds, all negative
Pregnant?: Your discharge and the foul odor are not due to pregnancy, but more likely to bacterial vaginosis or to yeast infection. Do not know if you were examined before testing for STDs, but this should be done. If you think you may be pregnant check using a home kit on first AM voided urine after missing a period. I am transgender ftm and have vagina itching and burning. My underwear have a wet streak. Could it be from not showering for a few days? I have no STD
Uncertain: This might be related to yeast or friction. Try showering on a regular basis and keeping your genital area clean and dry. Avoid clothing that is really tight in the crotch area. Use white cotton underwear instead of underwear made of synthetic materials that don't absorb moisture well or "breath well". If you develop vaginal redness, swelling or discharge get eval. ...Read more
I have vaginal itching, painful sex and burning when urinating. Got tested no stds what could be wrong?
UTI?: The usual causes of those symptoms are infection. The infection could be a urinary tract infection or vaginal infection. I don't know exactly what you got tested for but you would need tests for bacteria in the urine such as E. Coli and tests for gonorrhea, chlamydia, bacterial vaginosis, and trichomonas. Other possibilities would be an allergy to a product you are using there (soap, lubricant) ...Read more

I had vaginal burning/itching and clinic did a standard panel test for std's. Does that usually include HIV or do I have to get that separately?
Not HIV. Yeast?: HIV testing usually is done along with other STD tests, but not always; you'll have to ask the doctor or clinic. The most common cause of such symptoms is a vaginal yeast infection, so ask your doctor if you were checked for yeast. Even if not, or if negative for yeast, treatment is often given for possible yeast since it's easy and non-toxic. Ask about it. Good luck! ...Read more

Painful intercourse, afterwards I get burning and itching in my vagina. I have no STDs nor does my boyfriend. Typical for first sexual experiences?
Not normal: This is not typical for any type of sexual experience, first or not. You could have bacterial vaginosis, which has nothing to do with sexually transmitted diseases. Yeast is also a possibility and, that too, is not sexually transmitted. But pain is not a part of sex, so please get checked and find out what is going on. It should be a beautiful experience, not agony. ...Read more
