None: No STD is a likely cause of such a symptom. The only exception might be a new case of oral herpes, but only if the swelling is accompanied by multiple painful blisters and sores. Drug allergies can cause lip swelling, so in theory an STD treatment could cause it as a side effect. ...Read more
Which std can cause lips to be chapped and dry gray and then upper Lip get a little dark like the skin wants to peel off?
No STD: No STD is a likely cause of these symptoms. The only remote possibility might be syphilis, which can cause a wide variety of skin problems, which might on rare occasions affect the lips. Treatment reasonable: According to the medications that you're on it appears that you are being treated in a reasonable way by first intention for your infection. If after 7-10 days of treatment still no improvement then, your doctor may wish to get more specific tests such as a culture and sensitivity before trying another round of medication. ...Read more
When I go for pap smears will an STD show up if they scrape my vaginal wall for testing? I've never been told I have an STD. Also. My vaginal lips burn like a rash would. Yeast infection?
Pap misses most STDs: The pap smear is designed to detect abnormal cells that can predict future cancer, and these changes are caused by HPV, an STD. But it does not detect any other STDs; specific STD tests (e.g. gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas) need to be requested by the doctor. And yes, vaginal and labial burning often is caused by yeast. (Which of course is not an STD.) Discuss with your doctor. Good luck! ...Read more

I have dry irritating red areas on the edge of my lips also my lips have been unusually chapped the last few days. Could this be a symptom of an std?
Not likely: Irritated, chapped lips are due to dryness and sun exposure usually. Sometimes a yeast infection may occur in the corners of the lips and is red & irritated. If it is all around your mouth, stop licking your lips, use lip balms like chap stick, vaseline etc as often as needed to control the irritation and dryness. Good nutrition and lots of water also help. ...Read more

See a doctor: If you are concerned you have been exposed to an STI, then you should see a doctor or go to an STD clinic.
