See answer: Fordyce spots or granules are present at birth, but which don't become prominent until adulthood. Fordyce spots are small, yellow or white spots that develop in groups on moist tissue such as the lips, in the mouth, tongue, cheeks, female labia, and the penis. You may sometimes find it on the lower lip as well, even though it is rare. They are caused by an overgrowth of the sebaceous glands. ...Read more
None: No STD is a likely cause of such a symptom. The only exception might be a new case of oral herpes, but only if the swelling is accompanied by multiple painful blisters and sores. Drug allergies can cause lip swelling, so in theory an STD treatment could cause it as a side effect. ...Read more

I have dry irritating red areas on the edge of my lips also my lips have been unusually chapped the last few days. Could this be a symptom of an std?
Not likely: Irritated, chapped lips are due to dryness and sun exposure usually. Sometimes a yeast infection may occur in the corners of the lips and is red & irritated. If it is all around your mouth, stop licking your lips, use lip balms like chap stick, vaseline etc as often as needed to control the irritation and dryness. Good nutrition and lots of water also help. ...Read more

I have white dots across whole bottom lip. They don't hurt just tingle. I have had them off and on for 3 months. What can this be? Worried it's an std.
See a doctor: If you are concerned you have been exposed to an STI, then you should see a doctor or go to an STD clinic. As for the bumps, there is not enough information or time here to do a complete or thorough evaluation of what these could be. They do sound like something worth going to see a doctor about. ...Read more

My partner won't kiss me & has had tiny dots on the inside of his bottom lip, would this be an STD or just fordyce?
Sebaceous glands: These are probably Fordyce granules just as you said -- many, maybe most, guys have them if you look closely. No two people are fully compatible when it comes to physical love. I'm glad you've got a relationship and if you make clear that you care deeply about him and are totally about making him happy, maybe this will resolve itself with your having to argue or criticize. ...Read more
