Get a second opinion: Zerit (stavudine) is a protease inhibitor. Though I do think HIV testing is very important, an injection with this drug is not appropriate. Optimally, therapy requires 3 drugs. Even before getting meds, additional testing and counseling is required for HIV therapy.
