Daily but steri stay: Most patients are discharged with a dressing that can be removed. Daily dressing changes allow the incision to be inspected. If you had exploratory laparotomy you may have steri strips or staples. They stay until you see your surgeon. The instructions should be on discharge summary. Including shower instructions.
