I started my pill pack one day late. Took two pill the next day. Had unprotected sex on third day. Took morning after pill just to be safe. Is it ok?

Maybe (not). . .: Ok from what? Sexually transmitted disease? No. Pregnancy? Probably. But it's better to take birth control pills as directed rather than depend upon morning after pills. On BC pills, started pack 3 days late. Bf pulled out, took 2 negative preg tests 21 days after sex. Are these results accurate? Period due in 4 days

Tests are accurate: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have been) or 1 week after missing withdrawal period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but negative result may be due to testing too soon. ...Read more

3 pills late in the first week, I took the EC after the second time late. How should I continue the next pack?

3 pills late in the first week, I took the EC after the second time late. How should I continue the next pack?

Forgetful: Anytime you forget to take a pill, you must use another form of birth control until you finish the pack.
If you forget to take a BCP, take it as soon as you remember. If you don, t remember until the next day take 2. If you forget for 2 days-take 2 pills that day and 2 pills the next day-you will then be back on schedule--missed > 2 days call you health care provider for instructions ...Read more

I took my last active pill in my pack 4 hours late because I was at work. I usually take them all at 5 and took this one at 9. Am I protected still?

Yes: Changing the time you take the medication by such a small amount and just this once is not expected to have an effect. You should still be protected as well as you already have been. I do recommend going back to your usual dosing time with future doses just because it sounds like it's easy to remember for you to take at that time. ...Read more

Took the second pill of my pill pack 5 minutes late. Still safe? I always have an alarm on my phone to take at the right time. Slept through the alarm

Do bcps still protect during time of cycle you should be ovulating? Took a pill 2 hours late during 2nd week of pill pack. Worried!

Don't worry be happy: Contraceptive pills prevent pregnancy mostly by preventing you from ovulating. As long as you have been taking your pills regularly every day, you do not have much to worry about. Your risk is 6 to 8% though. If you'dlike a most effective method of contraception (99%) ask a knowledgeable and caring Gyn for a LARC, Long-Acting-Reversible-Contraceptive like an IUD or a subdermal implant.Be happier ...Read more

Been on BC for 2 yrs, took pill 9hrs late one time. Sex on 5th day of new pack, pull out method used. Now a lot of discharge, normal? Risks?

Likely your ok: It sounds like your pretty consistent with your BC and the 9hr late one time is ok. Just don't keep doing it. But I would advise you use condoms as well for protection from Sexually transmitted disease. BC does not protect you. Pulling out method is not BC at all. If you want a better form of BC, I would advise the implantable Nexplanon or an IUD. ...Read more

On reclipsen bc pills extended cycle. Take it around 9 every night.1st pill on my 2nd pack of the extended cycle I took 4 hours late, less effective?

Likely still fine: As long as a woman takes her daily combination birth control pill (such as Reclipsen) within 2-3 hours of the usual time that she takes her pill each day, she will not notice any difference in the effectiveness of the pills. I take the BC placebos every 3 packs. I was LATE on 2 pills (but still took them)in pack 1, how long should I use back up BC until I'm protected again?

I take the BC placebos every 3 packs. I was LATE on 2 pills (but still took them)in pack 1, how long should I use back up BC until I'm protected again?

Missed placebo pills: There is no hormone in placebos. The placebo pills are to help the patient keep track of the days so that she starts the next new pack on the correct day. That means if a woman is about to start her 7 placebo pills today, but misses all 7 pills, yet begins her new pack correctly one week from today, she is still protected. Her body won't know any differently because the placebos contain "nothing". ...Read more

On mononessa &started my pack a week late because of insurance problems but now I am on day 14... I missed a pill 2 days ago but took it 10 hours late?
